Woman Arrested For Reporting Frat Party Rape
Lisa was a stripper hired to perform at a Delta Chi fraternity party. Her rape was caught on videotape, and law enforcement still managed to "look the other way". Taking the "blame the victim" stance one step further, the police arrested Lisa, saying she "made up the charges".

Speech at UF
In this woman's speech, she actually reveals a quote from a University of Florida campus police officer telling men that "Approximately 50% of the rapes reported are false." It looks like the deck is already stacked against women on this campus.

Rape at Cornell Fraternity
A woman may have been raped at a Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity house, and "surprise, surprise", cops believe the frat boys! [Cornell Police Capt. Randall H. Hausner said the police department] "determined that there was no immediate danger to the community, and so [it] did not issue a campus crime warning,". Since when do rapists NOT endanger the community!?!?

Rape at Vanderbilt ATO House
The boys say they didn't do it, so it seems the investigation is at a stand-still. Senior Alpha Tau Omega President Omar Ghadry said "It's been difficult for us to take all this heat. It's been difficult for the Greek system to take all this heat." Gee, Mr. Ghadry, don't you think that life has been "difficult" for the woman who was violated by your "brothers"!?

Rape at Kansas State Frat House
A woman reported that she was raped at a Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house on a Saturday morning. Monday evening the president of the fraternity said he was "unaware" of the rape. Well I don't suppose men run up to their fraternity president and confess to date rape!!

Fraternities and A Heightened Rape Culture
This is an article by Amer G. Zahr. He states near the end: "My proposal is... treat the frats as if they don"t exist. Sure, students can join them, and participate in all their virtues and vices, but not on the University"s penny. Close down the Office of Greek Life. Let them seek private space to lease." Mr Zahr, I could not agree more.

This is a wonderfully informative article, exposing fraternity mens' misogynistic and rape-sympathetic behaviours. Included are the lyrics of a Phi Kappa Psi song: “Just push her in a corner, and hold her tight like this and if she starts to murmur, or if she starts to cry, just tell her it’s the sacred seal of old Phi Kappa Psi.”

Rape at UF Frat House
A woman reported that she had possibly been drugged and raped at a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house. She remembered being at the SAE house late Friday night, then she woke up 8 hours later in a bed at the house, which is on campus on "fraternity row".

Rape at Washington Frat Party
A 20 year old woman reported being raped at a Sigma Nu fraternity house. The Vice President of the IntraFraternity Council had heard about the rape a week before the victim reported it, but stated that if the victim wasn't going to the police, neither would he. He felt it was not his responsibility (to protect people from a sexual predator!?)

Confessions of a Date Rapist
This man explains that the absence of a weapon or physical fight does NOT mean the sex was consensual. He talks about the various ways men coerce women into sex, and he seems to realize now that any sex with someone who hasn't given CLEAR UNMISTAKABLE CONSENT is rape.

Woman Drugged, Suffered Fatal Fall After Frat Party
Traces of the "date rape" drug gamma hydroxy butyrate were found in Courtney Cantor's body after she fell out of a dormitory window to her death. The University of Michigan freshman might have been slipped the drug at a Phi Delta Theta party she had attended that night

Drugged and Raped by Frat Boys in Missouri
University of Missouri-Columbia officials evidently had a history of ignoring reports of sexual assault. This article talks about how the drugging and rape of a former student by a member of Delta Tau Delta might have been avoided if the school had acted more responsibly.

Rape at U Of Akron
Todd Grimes, 23, a member of Sigma Nu, was charged in connection with the abduction and rape of a 20-year-old woman. Evidently he thought it was alright to force this woman to have sex with him, and restrain her at his fraternity house against her will.

2 women reported being drugged and raped by fraternity men at Michigan State University. MSU President M. Peter McPherson said he is keeping a close eye on the situation but is confident in the fraternities' ability to investigate [themselves]. "I take these stories as unfounded until there is a good deal more information," [he said]. Again, the deck is stacked against the victim. And people wonder why rape is so under-reported!

Underage Girl, Drugged and Gang Raped
This high school girl said she was "totally stoked" when an older guy invited her to a fraternity party. Later that night, the man drugged her, then he and 3 of his friends took turns raping her. When she tried to fight them off, they physically beat her.

At Oklahoma State University, 3 members of Alpha Gamma Rho have been suspended after they posted pictures of themselves in racially insensitive costumes on the internet.

Will they ever learn?!? In Syracuse, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon went on his fraternity bar-hopping party dressed in a racially insensitive manner, in what he claims was a "Tiger Woods costume."

Writings on Fraternities and Sexism
The person who conducted this study found that "Fraternities look at women as sexual prey.  Because of their appealing appearance, they may be able to get as many girls as they want and desire; therefore, the “little sisters” become their sexual utility.  On the other hand, fraternities would like to try something “new” and find some excitements every time, so their sexual drives drive them to commit crimes.  Moreover, group rapes almost always have a leader who pushes other into the crime."

A woman sued her rapist, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Duke University, alleging "wrongful seduction". Although the lawsuit's wording may be controversial, I think that punishing rapists for their crimes is always a step in the right direction.

New Rape at Dartmouth
An 18-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a member of Gamma Delta Chi at Boston University. Since she has not yet made a detailed report to the Hanover Police, the chief stated "We haven't heard anything from the victim," "so we aren't investigating." Hmmm, I thought the police were supposed to protect the public from predators!?

Frat Primarily Concerned With Possible Accusations
[Interfraternity member] El-Meochy said "Plenty of guys worry about getting [accused] of sexual assault and we really try to go over what can be done to make sure they are really getting consent and how they can protect themselves and their pledge brothers from being in an uncomfortable situation," . His comments reveal what men are really concerned about and why they are suddenly interested in "Sexual Health Education". They don't care about women--they care about protecting themselves and their fraternities.

Frat Boys Kill Innocent Animal
One member and 6 pledges of the Kappa Sigma fraternity at Davidson College lured a goose away from a group of other geese, and proceeded to beat it to death. The "men" have been arrested and charged with felony cruelty to animals and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Fraternity Sexual Assault in Fresno
Members of Sigma Nu at Fresno State in California pressured a woman not to report a sexual assault committed at one of their parties. Punishment? All that was mentioned in this article was a chapter suspension.
